  so last weekend, the jw's ring the bell and my wife answers.

  we live in a heavily spanish neighborhood but don't really speak spanish.

  i thought my wife was quite clear that she is a "sister" to them, but maybe the one in charge of the group didn't get the message.

  How can anyone (in their right mind anyway) say that the org is growing? When you hear of mergers, dissolutions and consolidations, that is a sign of decline. You really can’t BS your way out of it.

  Is the name Jehovah`s Witnesses a misnomer ?

  i ask this because from what i read on this board lately is that they jw`s seem to be very reluctant to engage in conversation with anybody nowadays and are only interested in placing literature at carts.. and if anyone brings up questions in their d2d work that challenge them ( like the arc ) they will promptly excuse themselves and move on.

  also didn`t jesus say "this good news of the kingdom would be preached in all the inhabited earth " for a witness ?.

  when was the last time you heard a jw speak about "the good news of the kingdom" ?

  Assembly day Cleveland Ohio (Willoughby ass. Hall) results

  1300 attendance 11 teenagers baptised (.85 growth) $12,000 expenses.

  biggest facepalm moment- teenage pioneer says she pioneers because "the overlapping generation is getting up there in years ,so time is short" as the saying goes "those that don't know history are doomed to repeat it".

  To keep up appearances, I wanted to go to the Willoughby assembly with my wife, but she basically told me to stay home.
